Southwest winds 10 to 15 knots...veering to the northwest in the afternoon...then becoming north 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 30 knots. Cloudy with light showers. Waves 1 to 3 feet...building to 2 to 4 feet late.
Tonight
North winds 15 to 20 knots with gusts to 30 knots...diminishing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Partly cloudy with a slight chance of light showers through midnight...then clear after midnight. Waves 2 to 4 feet...subsiding to 1 to 3 feet after midnight.
Friday
North winds 10 to 15 knots. Sunny. Waves 1 to 3 feet. Maximum wave height around 5 feet.
Friday Night
North winds 5 to 10 knots in the evening...becoming light and variable overnight. Mostly clear. Waves 2 feet or less. See Lake Erie Open Lakes forecast for days 3 through 5. The water temperature at Belle Isle is 60 degrees.

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a Small Craft Advisory... which is in effect until midnight EDT tonight. * Wind: during the Small Craft Advisory... expect sustained winds up to 18 knots from the north with gusts up to 28 knots. * Timing: the maximum winds are expected around 4 PM EDT Thursday. Refer to the latest marine forecasts for greater detail. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions. |
