The papd (pedro dome) WSR-88D Doppler weather radar covering the Fairbanks area and nearby areas will be out of service from Aug 20 2012 to Sep 2 2012 for installation and checkout of dual- polarization upgrade hardware and software. Radar products from the Pedro Dome WSR-88D will not be available during this time period. This radar is expected to be back in service on September 3 2012.
The paec (nome) WSR-88D Doppler weather radar covering the Nome area and nearby areas will be out of service from July 9 2012 to July 22 2012 for installation and checkout of dual-polarization upgrade hardware and software. Radar products from the Nome WSR-88D will not be available during this time period. This radar is expected to be back in service on July 23 2012
