rivers and streams in the western Susitna Valley...
* until 1130 am akdt Monday
* rainfall over the last few days... particularly in the higher
elevations of the area... have resulted in rising stage of the
yentna river at Lake Creek and yentna river near Susitna station.
The yentna river at Lake Creek is expected to peak at 21.3 feet
(minor flood stage) at about 1100 PM akdt sun Sep 14. River levels
at yentna river at Lake Creek are expected to remain above minor
flood stage until around midday on Mon Sep 15. River stage at
yentna river near Susitna station will continue to rise and reach
19.5 feet on Mon Sep 15 at 400 am.
* Water levels have risen significantly over the last 48 hours and
residents and recreational users should be aware that stream
crossings that were done earlier in the week may be hazardous at
current levels. Gravel bars may become inundated or separated from
the shore by the high water. Take precautions to protect life and

ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Do not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
