The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a High Wind Warning... which is in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 6 am akst Monday. The high wind watch is no longer in effect.
* Location... downtown Juneau and Douglas.
* Wind... northeast wind gusts to 65 mph.
* Timing... gusty winds will be increasing through the day Saturday. 65 mph wind gusts are then expected to last through Sunday night.
* Impacts... people are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Please ensure that your vessels are properly moored in Douglas and Harris harbors. Be prepared in case there is a loss of power.
