Statement as of 8:36 PM CDT on May 18, 2013 The Flood Advisory continues for the Mississippi River at Memphis * until at least Wednesday may 22. * At 8 PM Saturday the stage was 33.0 feet and falling. * Flood stage is 34.0 feet. * Forecast... the river will continue a slow fall. * At 33.0 feet... Rivergate drive could beging to flood north of the rail yards. Settlement at Blue Lake is flooded. Most all secondary roads east of the Arkansas levee are covered.

Statement as of 1:33 am CDT on May 18, 2013 ... Record daily maximum rainfall set at Tupelo... a record rainfall of 1.81 inches was set at Tupelo yesterday. This breaks the old record of 1.03 inches set back in 2003.

Statement as of 3:10 PM CDT on May 18, 2013 NOAA Weather Radio station wxj-51 in Jonesboro Arkansas is back on the air this afternoon. But we will be monitoring the broadcast for a few hours to make sure it is stable. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
