... Light ice accumulations possible across portions of the
midsouth mainly along and south of Interstate 40 tonight...
Low pressure will move to the southeast of the midsouth tonight
with the region on the northwestern fringe of most of the
associated precipitation. Rain will spread into the
area this evening... gradually turning to freezing rain and sleet
from the northwest as very cold air pushes into the area. Most of
the precipitation will be along and south of Interstate 40 and
mainly across north Mississippi. Light ice accumulations may occur
across portions of east central Arkansas... north Mississippi and
west Tennessee along and south of a line from Ripley to Huntingdon.
Any ice accumulations from freezing rain will be light and less
than 1/10 of an inch with minor sleet accumulations if any.
Hazardous driving conditions could develop in the affected area
tonight with bridges and overpasses being the first to ice. A Winter
Weather Advisory may need to be issued for portions of the area
