The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 am CDT this morning.
* Event... a saturated airmass from recent rainfall combined with light winds will allow for the formation of widespread dense fog this morning with visibilities falling to around one-quarter of a mile.
* Timing... dense fog expected to dissipate by mid- morning.
* Impact... motorists should prepare for reduced visibilities on area roadways that could produce hazardous driving conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down... use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
