... Blowing dust advisory remains in effect until midnight MDT
/1 am CDT/ tonight...
* peak winds... sustained north to northwest winds of 30 to 40
mph with gusts to 55 mph are expected. A few gusts over 55 mph
can not be ruled out.
* Timing/duration... the winds will reach their peak over the next
two to three hours then decline overnight.
* Other impacts... blowing dust may reduce visibilities suddenly
to near zero... especially in areas where plowed fields exist.
Motorists should drive carefully through areas of low
visibilities. If you see an advancing wall of dust do not
drive through it if at all possible.
A blowing dust advisory means that blowing dust will occasionally
restrict visibility to less than one mile. Travelers are urged to
use caution and be alert to rapidly changing visibility...
especially near open fields.
