In 1998, around 5 inches of rain fell during a thunderstorm in Benkelman Nebraska. Many homes had basements flooded with water and mud. Several cars were stalled and roads were damaged.
In 2007, thunderstorms produced five tornadoes from Wallace County east through Logan, Sheridan and Graham counties. All tornadoes occurred over open fields with no known damage. Flash flooding and hail to two inches was also reported in Graham County.
