The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 6 PM Saturday to 6 PM CST Sunday.
* Timing... snow is expected to move into the advisory area early Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning. The precipitation over east-central Missouri and south-central Illinois is expected to mix with freezing rain and sleet Sunday morning and possibly rain by Sunday afternoon before ending.
* Accumulations... 2 to 5 inches. A light glazing of ice is possible for east-central Missouri and portions of south-central Illinois.
* Winds... southeast 5 to 10 mph.
* Impacts... the wintry precipitation will result in hazardous travel conditions... especially on bridges... overpasses... and untreated roads. Parking lots and sidewalks will become slippery as well.
