The river will fall below flood stage by Tuesday afternoon. * Impact... at 24.5 feet... extensive left bank agricultural flooding develops upstream of the gage. A utility Road is flooded along the Old Monroe levee along the left bank upstream of the gage. * Impact... at 24.0 feet... initial flooding upstream. * Impact... at 23.5 feet... minor agricultural land begins to flood.
The Flood Warning continues for the Mississippi River at Winfield lock and dam 25 * until further notice. * At 11:00 PM Monday the stage was 29.5 feet. * Flood stage is 26.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 29.9 feet by Tuesday morning then begin falling. * Impact... at 30.0 feet... the Golden Eagle Ferry will likely close near this level. Lakeshore drive in northern St. Charles County becomes impassable near this level.
