* portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri... including the following areas... in southeast Kansas... Cherokee. In Missouri... Barry... Christian... Dade... Dallas... Dent... Douglas... Greene... Howell... Jasper... Laclede... Lawrence... McDonald... Newton... Oregon... Ozark... Phelps... Polk... Pulaski... Shannon... stone... Taney... Texas... Webster and Wright.
* Until 9 am CDT Tuesday
* additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop tonight across portions of extreme southeastern Kansas and southern Missouri. Heavy rainfall will be possible across the region. Total rainfall amounts of one to two inches with locally higher amounts near three inches will be possible. The heaviest rainfall this evening and tonight is generally expected to occur along and south of the Interstate 44 corridor.
* This excessive rainfall may result in flash flooding of small streams... low water crossings... and other flood prone areas.
