Statement as of 4:50 PM CDT on May 21, 2013 ... Corrected path length to 14.5 miles... The National Weather Service from WFO Pleasant Hill Missouri completed a damage survey in Johnson and Pettis counties Missouri for a tornado that occurred on the evening of may 20th. Location... tornado developed approximately two miles east of Knob Noster Missouri then dissipated approximately two miles north of Hughesville, Missouri. Maximum ef-scale rating... EF1 estimated maximum wind speed... 95 mph maximum path width... 200 yards path length... 14.5 miles more details such as pictures and tornado path maps will be forthcoming on our webpage tomorrow.
