Special Statement
Statement as of 9:56 PM CDT on June 29, 2015

... Smoke and haze will increase tonight over portions of western
and central North Dakota...

Smoke from central Canadian fires has pushed south into northwest
northwest North Dakota this Monday evening. It is unknown exactly
how far south the smoke will travel... but at this time it appears
the most impacted area will be northwest North Dakota.

Expect visibilities to mainly range between 1 and 2 miles
overnight across northwest North Dakota. You likely will be able
to smell the smoke when it arrives. Any adverse health affects are
unknown... however it would be best to remain indoors if possible.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected late tonight into
Tuesday... which should lessen the effects of the smoke and improve
visibilities.
