Statement as of 12:05 am CDT on May 19, 2013 ... Record warmest maximum temperature broken at Wichita Falls... The record warmest maximum temperature for may 18 at Wichita Falls was 98 degrees... which was set back in 1967. Yesterday at Sheppard Air Force base... the high temperature was 101 degrees... which had broken the record for that date. Temperature records for Wichita Falls date back to 1923.
