... Cold and wet in the mountains with snow in the higher terrain
over the next several days...
A large low pressure system off the coast will move inland tonight
then will remain stationary over Washington and Oregon Wednesday
and Thursday. Colder air will spread east of the Cascades... and
snow levels will lower to near 6500 feet. Snow will develop in the
higher terrain of the Cascades... The Eagle cap wilderness... the
Elkhorn Mountains... and the Strawberry wilderness. Three to six inches
of snow can be expected above 6500 feet tonight through Thursday.
Campers... hikers... and other outdoor enthusiast should be prepared
for cold and wet conditions in the mountains as well as snow in
the higher terrain.
