Winds were gusting to around 45 mph this afternoon over the higher elevations of the southern Poconos, and these winds may not diminish significantly tonight as unseasonably cold air moves across the region. People living in the southern Poconos may wish to secure loose outdoor items. People driving high profile vehicles should be careful.
