The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... extreme northwestern Bee County in south Texas... northern Live Oak County in south Texas...
* until noon CDT
* at 1022 am CDT... local law enforcement officials reported flash flooding in northern Live Oak County leading to Road closures... including Interstate 37 near Three Rivers. Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall continue across the warned area. Doppler radar estimated more than 5 inches of rain have fallen in this area.
* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flooding to occur. Some cities and towns that will experience flooding include... Esseville... Karon... Nell and Ray Point.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay your report to the National Weather Service forecast office in Corpus Christi.

* until 1045 am CDT
* at 912 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Weather spotters have reported more than 5 inches of rain have fallen in the warned area since early this morning.
* Runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flooding to occur. Some cities and towns that will experience flooding include... Berclair... Normanna... Pettus... Tuleta and Tulsita.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
