... Flood Warning extended until Saturday evening... the Flood Warning continues
for
the San Bernard River near Sweeny
* from this morning to Saturday evening... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 8 am Wednesday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to crest near 18 feet Friday night.
* At 17.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins. Water is over the mid level
walkway at the Phillips terminal near Sweeny. Tugs can not push barges
upstream and are unable to dock. Water begins spilling into the left flood
plain.

The Flood Warning continues for
the San Bernard River near Boling
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 10 am Wednesday the stage was 30.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river crested near 30.5 feet earlier this morning and is
expected to continue a slow fall but will remain above flood stage through the
weekend.
* At 27.0 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues with widespread flooding
upstream from the gage with significant backwater flooding up west Bernard
creek and Peach Creek in Wharton County and low lying areas in the El Lobo
subdivision are threatened. Backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend
County threatens low areas in the tierra grande subdivision.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river near Rosharon
* until further notice... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 1015 am Wednesday the stage was 47.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue rising to near 50.0 feet by
Sunday evening.
Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* At 50.8 feet... moderate lowland flooding continues as minor flow passes
through the culvert near the Ramsey unit Prison Farm into Oyster Creek and
water flows over the flood plain into Oyster Creek.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Brazos river in Richmond.
* From Friday morning to late Sunday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 1015 am Wednesday the stage was 42.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage late Friday morning
with a continued rise to near 49 feet by Saturday evening.
* At 49.8 feet... moderate lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage.
Massive lowland flooding occurs with many homes in Simonton and Thompsons
flooded. There is major flow across the flood plain into Oyster
Creek near Harris Reservoir and the Ramsey unit Prison Farm.
