... NWS damage survey for 05/17/2013 Young County tornado event...
A supercell in southern Young County produced two tornadoes near Eliasville on the evening of may 17th. Both tornadoes were reported by storm spotters and several photos and videos of the tornadoes have been obtained. The NWS in Fort Worth surveyed damage to a home that occurred from the first tornado.
This information is considered preliminary. The survey team is still returning from the damage assessment and additional information will be provided later.
The NWS surveyed damage to a home approximately 1.5 miles west of Eliasville... just south of FM 3109 and west of jd Road. Significant damage occurred to the roof of the home and also to the back porch of the home. The walls of the home remained in tact. Additional data is still being obtained and analyzed on this tornado and additional information will be provided later.
