... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 1045 PM CDT
for north central Brazoria... Harris and northeastern Fort Bend
counties...

At 1017 PM CDT... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm
was located over Cloverleaf... moving east at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Pasadena... Pearland... Sugar Land... Missouri City... northern
Friendswood... Deer Park... Stafford... South Houston... Bellaire...
Humble... West University Place... Katy... northwestern Seabrook...
Galena Park... Jacinto City... Jersey Village... Hunters Creek
Village... Bunker Hill Village... Piney Point Village and Astrodome
area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for the warned area. Although a
tornado is not immediately likely... if one is spotted... act quickly
and move to a place of safety in a sturdy structure... such as a
basement or small interior room.

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds... destructive hail...
deadly lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection move to an

... Flash Flood Watch now in effect until 6 am CDT Tuesday...

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* a portion of southeast Texas... including the following
counties... Austin... Brazoria... Chambers... Colorado... Fort
Bend... Galveston... Harris... Jackson... Liberty... Matagorda...
Montgomery... Polk... San Jacinto... Waller and Wharton.

* Until 6 am CDT Tuesday

* a southeast to northwest oriented band of thunderstorms
producing heavy rainfall across central portions of southeast
Texas will slowly shift southeast tonight. Heavy rainfall will
continue in the watch area into the early morning hours.
Therefore... the Flash Flood Watch and threat has been extended.
Due to the slow moving and training thunderstorms... a serious
flash flood situation is ongoing and will continue.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
Do not drive across water covered roads!

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
