Across the southern South Plains... a broken line of thunderstorms continues to move eastward at approximately 20 mph...extending from approximately witharral through New Moore... and points farther south. These storms appear to be gradually weakening with time... and the general weakening trend is expected to continue through the next hour as these storms continue east. However... gusty winds to 50 mph and cloud to ground lightning may persist through at least 11:15 CDT. Further north... another line of strong thunderstorms is currently moving east through northern Swisher County at approximately 30 mph. These storms are also expected to gradually weaken... but will likely produce locally strong wind gusts to 50 mph and cloud to ground lightning... in addition to locally heavy downpours. In both storms... some blowing dust can be expected with localized areas of brief reduced visibilities possible.
