Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 7:00 PM MDT on July 06, 2015

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...
south central Grand County in east central Utah...

* until 1000 PM MDT

* at 655 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This may cause flooding across and parallel to
Highway 191 near and southeast of Moab. The heavy rain will also
cause Arroyo and Small Stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to
one and three quarter inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Moab... and Spanish Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heavy rainfall will cause ponding of water on roadways. The
excessive runoff will also cause minor flooding of small creeks and
streams... as well as ranch and country roads. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

To report flooding... have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the National Weather Service forecast office.
