Areas of light to moderate rain have transitioned to snow over much of southwest Virginia...and will continue to due so across northeast Tennessee. Rainfall amounts up to half an inch per hour have fallen across the area causing ponding of water on the roadways. Motorists are urged to exercise caution. Snowfall accumulations of up to an inch per hour will be possible this afternoon. Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 9 PM EST this evening... Flood Watch in effect until 7 PM EST this evening... Wind Advisory in effect until 9 PM EST this evening...
