Hey, guys. Hopefully I'll do more blog entries as the hurricane season get started. This is just a quick entry just to see what it's like.
ATLANTIC OCEAN
After pretty fast start of FOUR tropical storms before the end of June, a record breaking season suddenly became quiet. However, this is just a typical event for July every year. The models does not shows anything developing over the next 10 days, but it could change pretty quickly.
PACIFIC OCEAN
Right now, Atlantic is pretty quiet but it isn't the case for Pacific Ocean as there is currently two strong hurricanes.
HURRICANE DANIEL

Hurricane Daniel peaked at 115 mph as a Category 3 major, but that didn't lasted very long as it ran into dry air and cooler water. Right now, as of 10 AM EST, it's currently a 90 mph Category 1 hurricane and more weakening is expected as Daniel makes his way west. It's no threat to the land and the closest land is well over thousand miles away.
HURRICANE EMILIA

Hurricane Emilia was classified as a Category 1 earlier this morning by NHC. Right now, NHC forecasts Emilia to peak as a Category 3 major hurricane at 120 mph, but I disagrees. I think Emilia have a chance to be a strong Category 4 hurricane and that it will peaks at 135 mph, although I think I predicted it too low. I'll give it one in four chance of Emilia becoming a Category 5 hurricane as Emilia is gaining strength pretty quickly. Like Daniel, Emilia is over thousand miles away from the nearest land and is currently no threat to anyone but the sailors who dares to sail in that area of Pacific.
New blog entry later tonight, hopefully!
