Overcast, calm, temp 11C. Forecasting rain as the day moves along, and for the next few days.

Still forcasting signifigant levels of wind for Tuesday, Easterly and Southeasterly. Wave heights in the 9'-10' range. This level is a consideration with a boat load of traps has to be taken into consideration. Temps are still unseasonably warm with highs in the duble digits for the next few days.

The authorities are worried about the number of 'right whales' still in the area, and the conflict lobster gear will cause after Tuesday. The whales historically are well south of here by this time year migrating to winter grounds off Florida. Meeting held last night with officials and local fisherman to discuss the issue. Possibility of delaying 'opeming day' is one of the points for discussion. Any delay will not be welcomed as the start of the season is as far out date wise as it can be according to regulations.

Kids both home this weekend, Rob invited out overnight. However with the amount of skateboarding this past couple of nights felt it prudent he be in his own bunk to recharge.

Good morning. It looks to be another lovely day here and our current temp is 11�C/52�F. It should warm up to almost 70�F and fairly breezy. Had a thought.... are there any weather stations near you? I've got several posted on my blog. Would be interesting to be able to see your current temps at a glance. Not sure if WU has weather stickers for your location or not. Morning Bugs, there are weather stations nearby, but most inland. Saint John is actually Point Lepreau which will give you the closest goings on as it is on the shore, also our nuclear power plant. About 35 miles NE of here. In certain weather conditions can see it from here. I use Eastport Maine report from U.S. from the back of the island can look into the community with no problems, approx. 8 miles across the channel. Still no word if fishing will be allowed on Tuesday. Lots of activity going by the house just in case it is a go. Hope for all concerned the whales have moved along.
