Click above to Go to the Sonrisa Net Website Thursday, April 19, 2012 Voice to Text--- .Looking down into the Sea this morning it looks like another cloud free day. Looking south to the Mexican Riviera there are no clouds along the west coast of Mexico either. Looking now at the Gulf of Tehuantepec where they will be seeing 20-30 knot winds today diminishing tonight. Tomorrow’s winds in the Gulf should be less than 20 however it will take most of the day for the Sea to flatten out again. Today the seas will be in 8-9 ft ranges. Looking out along the ITCZ/monsoon trough I can see moderate scattered convection along the zone this morning with a few clouds moving off the zone and getting caught in the west/east flow in the basin and drift toward Mexico. Most will dissipate before making landfall. That’s it for the God’s eye view of our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where this image is showing the Storm track just to the north of the California/Oregon border. A cold front will be moving through Washington State today bringing valley rain and light snow to the Cascades. Northern California will be seeing mostly sunshine today under building high pressure. Southern California will be seeing above seasonal temperatures this afternoon after the coastal morning fog burns off. This image is showing a fairly heavy fog bank hugging the coast from Turtle Bay north to around Pt. Conception on the central California coast. Looking now over to the southwest where Yuma will be the hot spot over the weekend with temperatures in the 102-103 ranges. The rest of southwest Arizona will be in the high 90s. No rain is expected in the next week as the Storm track is well to the north. That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence it looks like moderate winds into the weekend. Today moderate afternoon southerlies. Tomorrow after the front passes through Arizona the winds will swing back to the north and continue to be in the moderate ranges for the next couple of days. So spring looks like it is springing. The sunrise temperatures are starting to rise a bit. We should be seeing afternoon highs in the high 80s perhaps a few 90s in the cape area over the next couple of days. 73s Y'all Thursday, April 19, 2012 Don't chisel these forecasts in stone.
