Voice to Text---
.Looking down into the Sea this morning I can see that there have been no clouds in the Sea for the past 24 hours.
Looking south to the west coast of Mexico and the Mexican Riviera I can see that much like yesterday there has been a lot of thunderbumper activity back in the mountains to east of Puerto Vallarta and Cabo Corrienties. During the night and the early morning hours these storms have moved toward the coast and it looks like from just south of Mazatlan to just south of Cabo Corrienties the rain continues this morning.
Further south and about 225 miles west-southwest of Manzanillo is invest 95. The National Hurricane Center yesterday gave it an 80% chance of tropical development in the next 24 hours. Apparently it did not read the report because instead of becoming more organized the opposite has happened. In this image the center of low is no longer easily defined however the region is still showing a lot of thunderbumper activity with bands of rain producing clouds moving toward the coast mostly from Manzanillo to around Zihuatanejo this morning. This morning the National Hurricane Center is only giving the low a 40% chance of tropical development.
So we’ll be putting this item on the back burner of our Tropical Kitchen for today.
Looking at the big picture it looks like from around Cabo Corrienties south the Eastern Pacific basin is pretty much solid cloud cover with many thunderbumpers working in the region.
That’s what is going on in our hood so looking now north to the west coast of America where today will be a typical summer day for the entire west coast. Morning fog along the coast from around Turtle Bay north to the San Francisco bay area and sunshine inland with seasonal temperatures.
Southern California will see temperatures in the mid 70s today.
Tomorrow a low that is about 1000 miles off the coast of Oregon and Washington will slowly move ashore bringing a little rain to the Great Northwest on Friday and gusterly winds to the rest of the west coast into the weekend when high pressure rebuilds over the west.
Looking now over to the southwest where 107-109 temperatures will remain until the weekend when temperatures will cool somewhat. It appears that there is a very good chance that the southwest will see some monsoon activity this Saturday afternoon and evening to the east and south of Tucson.
That’s what is going on to the north of us. Back on this side of the Fence the northern Sea will see brisk (to around18 knots) over the 3-day forecast period.
The central Sea to Puerto Escondido, about the same thing today with afternoon southerlies to 20 knots and then back to the moderate southerlies for Thursday and Friday.
The southern Sea will continue to see light to moderate SW winds over the 3-day forecast period.
Temperatures again today in the mid to high 90s.
