TGIF!
Imaginiff... Results Well the first game of 2007 is in the books, and below are the results. Since the game is supposed to be played with one particular person in mind, I was unsure how it'd turn out, but it looks like I did get a few different responses for each game (cash probably won game #2 because it was played after Christmas when everyone's in need of some!)
Last night while driving home from work, I started brainstorming ways I could change the game so that it is based on one person instead of a generic "you." But the only person all of you have in common is me, and it would be WAY too damaging to my ego to play these games with me in mind (lol) so I thought well, what about a celebrity version? Answer the questions that day based on a well-known celebrity. What do you think? Keep it as-is, or make some changes to future games? Respond back in my poll, which is just below these results.
Players: 35 Imaginiff #1: Imaginiff you were the subject of a photograph. What form would it take? 1. Seated, formally dressed (13) - 2 points 4. Making a funny face (11) - 1 point 5. Action shot (8) 2. Police mug shot (2) 3. Out of focus (1) 6. Cover of The Enquirer
Imaginiff #2: Imaginiff you were to be honored. Which of the following would you be happiest to accept? 3. Cash award (25) - 2 points 2. Parent of the Year (7) - 1 point 5. Being knighted (2) 6. Simple thank-you note (1) 1. Employee of the Month 4. Blackwell's Best Dressed List
How should I continue playing Imaginiff...? Keep it the way it is - it's fun! Have a celebrity version where you use celebrity names instead of the generic "imagine if you were..." Other (post a comment!) None - I don't like the new game. Please vote using the link below! http://vote.sparklit.com/web_poll.spark/773847
Today’s forecast grade: B
Wisconsin Forecast: Now: At 8am with clouds and a little wind, temps are still very mild, in the mid- 30s north, lower 40s central and mid- 40s south. http://iwin.nws.noaa.gov/iwin/wi/hourly.html http://www.pollen.com/state.asp?id=wi
Synopsis: A weak cold front is moving through eastern Wisconsin this morning. While it's not really developing any precipitation in our area, it should cool off our absurdly warm temperatures just a bit. Quite a few places in southern Wisconsin hit 50 degrees but Prairie du Chien was again the hot spot at 52. http://www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/sfc/ussatsfc.gif
Today: Mostly cloudy, still mild, high of 46 central, just above 40 north, and upper 40s south. High temps may peak this morning and start falling a bit this afternoon as colder air moves in behind the cold front.
Tonight: Cloudy with scattered light rain showers changing to light snow. Little if any snow accumulation. Lows lower 30s. Chance of precip 50%.
Saturday: Becoming partly sunny, highs near 40.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy and breezy, maybe some light snow showers. Highs upper 30s central, near 40 south. Chance of snow 30%.
Next Week: Monday: Mostly cloudy, colder, maybe a morning flurry, highs 30-35. Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, breezy and colder yet, highs 26-31. Wednesday: Mostly cloudy and breezy with a chance of light snow north late. Highs 29-34. Chance of snow 25%.
Today in Las Vegas, Nevada: Decreasing clouds but windy. Beware of flying pool covers (I still haven't forgotten that!). Highs mid- 50s. Sunshine this weekend, highs in the 50s (Saturday will be the cooler of the two days). Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am this morning to 7 PM PST this evening... Sustained northwest winds between 20 and 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph will occur portions of Clark and eastern San Bernardino County today. It appears the strongest winds will occur between 10 am and 4 PM. ------------------------ ... Record high temperature for Las Vegas... The high temperature at McCarran International Airport here in Las Vegas was 68 degrees occuring at 3:49 PM. This breaks the previous record of 67 degrees set in 1981. http://www.wunderground.com/US/NV/Henderson.html http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USNV0040
Today in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina: Showers and thunderstorms today, some perhaps severe. More showers on Sunday. Highs in the 70s through the weekend. ... Severe weather outlook... A warm front is expected to lift north of the region today with an unseasonably warm... moist and unstable air mass blanketing southeast Georgia and southern South Carolina this afternoon. A strong upper level disturbance over Mississippi this morning is forecast to move into the Carolinas by later this evening. A squall line across the Panhandle of Florida and southern Alabama during the morning hours... will move into south Georgia during the afternoon and possibly into southeastern South Carolina this evening.
The unstable air mass ahead of the line of thunderstorms combined with afternoon heating and increasing wind fields above the surface will enhance the risk of severe thunderstorms across the area later today and this evening. The main hazards will be damaging winds... large hail... and the possibility of a few tornadoes.
Emergency managers... the media and the public should continue to follow this potentially dangerous situation. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio all hazards... TV or your local new source for the latest statements from the National Weather Service. http://www.wunderground.com/US/SC/Hilton_Head_Island.html http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USSC0155 Today in League City and Pearland, Texas: Morning fog, then decreasing clouds. A chance of showers Saturday. Highs lower 70s today but cooling into the lower 60s for highs this weekend. Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am CST this morning... Dense fog has developed across portions of southeast Texas mainly along and south of a line from Moss Hill to Houston Intercontinental Airport to East Bernard to Morales. Reduced visibilities to 1/4 mile or less can be expected.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than 1/4 mile in and near the advisory area. If driving... slow down... use low beam headlights and leave plenty of distance between you and the car in front.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or other weather news sources for further updates. ---------- Through 8 am...areas of fog...some locally dense...will continue to develop across southern portions of southeast Texas. Visibilities will be reduced to three miles to less than a mile with isolated areas of a quarter of a mile or less.
