Burrowing In...... 

it's not bad. I have most of my friend's basement. She tells me that I am welcome to use the kitchen, but when I do...her body language tells me no. She's a bit OC...that's hard to learn to live with.

All in all, it's nice to not live alone. A co-worker and I are thinking about getting a place together when her lease is up next year.

my brother's kids just returned from 20 days in the UK. I can't wait to get to talk with them about it...but now they are trying to get their bodies back to the Pacific time zone. lol!!

last night's lightening storm was crazy at best. I was sitting on the edge of my bed reading by flashlight. The bedroom door was open, so that I could see through the windows on the south side of the house.

then all of the sudden, the south side lit up with a flash and almost instantaneously, the boom hit what seemed from the north. It startled me to much that I slid off the bed and into the floor. Whew!! it sure has been a long time since I have been that startled by thunder and lightening.

thanks, No, I didn't get hurt...I didnt'even bruise. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't get up.

not looking forward to swimming today. call me a chicken, but I understand they change the water on Friday mornings and it takes about a day or two to warm up.

legs are really beginning to feel the workouts...I notice it when I go up the stairs. And my skin has totally, soaked in the chlorine, it doesn't matter how much I try to wash it off, my skin still smells like the chlorine.

I may take the day off today and just enjoy the Olympics tonight on tv.

been busy looking for new diggs. the roommate situation is less than desirable and I miss being able to come home and just relax.

I found a cute little place maybe 5 miles from historic Fort Vancouver, but also 5 miles farther from work. Oh, well. it has 90% of my wish list, plus items that weren't even considered on my wish list...so I guess it balances out okay.

a little one bedroom flat, on the second floor. It has the desired tub (I was surprised to see how many apartments don't have tubs!).The bonuses are that there is secured entry, indoor mailboxes and a laundry on every floor.

The only two things I didn't get were washer and dryer in the unit, and closer to work.

I don't have an exact move in date yet, but I suspect it will be around the 20th! The part that I do feel bad about is that my roommate is in Ohio until the 19th and won't be getting any notice at all that I will be leaving. I had no idea that things were going to come together so fast!!

Yeah, my friends tell me I should buy a Winnebago, then I could just move it around town. LOL!

You would think that I would have so much less stuff with all of the moving I have been doing, but at least I keep my boxes.

Oh, and Wee Little Lass started Pre-School this week. I understand she LOVED it.

Yeah, I called her on Monday. I was not sure how she would react, I feared the worst. I worked myself up for the phone call.

When I finally got a hold of her, she was cool with it. I totally fell off the sofa! "Hey, you deserve to feel comfortable when you finish a 12 hour shift. Besides, you have put up with a lot...."

I have been packing all weekend. I filled up my 5x5 storage, and started stock piling in the garage. I have just a few day to day items to go, plus my bed and then I will be ready to go.

The downside: I called the new apartments and the landlady said that the apartment won't be ready until the 27th or the 5th at the latest.
