	Heavy fog advisory issued

I just got weather alerts for the Twin Cities South Metro stating we are under a Fog Advisory. Looks like we are going to be in the soup this evening and tomorrow morning. It's that time of the year again folks. If you live in Minnesota especially the TC area, be on the watch for heavy fog this evening and tomorrow morning during your commute to work.

Most of the pretty Fall colors have turned to drab brown now, at least for those tress that still have leaves on them. It was really pretty this year while it lasted though.

A large storm system is expected to bring much needed rainfall across the Upper Midwest over the next few days, along with strong winds. A cold front will march eastward across the area today bringing west winds gusting to 30 to 40 mph across parts of west central into southwest Minnesota . In addition...parts of central Minnesota into western Wisconsin should see .10 more rainfall. Temperatures will be considerably cooler than the balmy day yesterday. Precipitation will become very light tonight...but another round of more widespread rains should develop on Thursday into early Friday. Look for cooler temperatures Thursday and Friday with warmer weather returning on the weekend.

Hi all, I just got home from my third hospital stay this year on this weekend. It's not that there is anything new wrong with me. Only that one of the problems keeps creeping up on me and is probably going to require surgery down the road to fix. Since I had heart surgery back in August, I need to get through cardiac rehabilitation therapy, or enough of it so I can take on surgery with out messing up my heart restructuring schedule. Hi Don, glad to see you back! Hope you keep well so you can get the full treatment. We were supposed to be coming to Minnesota for Thanksgiving but H is not allowed long haul flights again until next year because of his recent heart procedure, so Daughter is bring Thanksgiving to us!!! Would still love to come and see the snow though so perhaps next year, maybe H will have decided about retiring by then. We are in spring so I have just been sitting in the garden watching all the parrots having a feast on the blossom in the gum trees and the noise is deafening! Have a great day and take care. The last couple of days, Monday and Tuesday Oct. 15 and 16 were exceptionally warm for this time of the year. One last hoora before snow flies? Well at least we will probably get some cold rain. We have been getting a little wet, but nothing serious except the drought we are in. Minnesota is in a pretty drought right now, so we will accept any rain or snow we can get. It's been so dry this Fall that a good portion of Minnesota has been in or near a RED FLAG fire condition for a while now. I thought is kind of odd coming home from cardiac rehabilitation the last week or two and seeing dust blowing in the wind. We don't normally get dry enough for the wind to pick up the dust in the farm fields and blow it through the air and definitely not for a week or more. Mind you the dust was not that heavy and I had to look really hard because it looked kind of like the fog we sometimes get in the early hours here in the Fall. Only thing is that this was at 2:00pm. I don't think I've ever seen fog in the mid afternoon, except maybe in Winter or after a heavy Summer down pour. This has been a really strange year weather wise for Minnesota. Gotta wonder how our Republican congressmen are going to explain this away, those who don't believe we are having global climate change do to an increase in global warming? Hi Don,hope the recovery is going well! Daughter arrives here in Oz for a "imported" Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks, hope to be able to find some pumpkin even if it is out of season here! We are having fluctuating temperatures a few hot days then back to cold it is difficult to know what to put on in the mornings!!! You would love all the parrots in out garden at the moment and yesterday I even saw a yellow tailed black cockatoo cruising over. It was alone and calling and it is a haunting call but they are one of my favorite parrots and we don't see them here very often, but at our last house we had State forest all around us and we saw them frequently.
