A look back. February turned out 3C warmer than the norm with above normal snowfall, mainly due to one storm that dumped nearly a foot in some places. The 3C is less extreme than the +5C anomaly in January and December's +7C anomaly. Overall the December-February Winter period was very mild and dry, with a +5C anomaly overall. It's not a record but it's still very mild.
What is in store for March: Overall March will finish with near avg temperatures and snowfall for northern regions and slightly warmer and dry than normal for southern regions.
1-10: A bit colder in northern areas with heavy snow at times, possible major storm for central and southern regions. A few mild spells here and there
10-20: slightly warmer than normal in southern areas. wet in the north
20-31: Rapid warming going into April, heavy rain could pose problems in some northern regions.
