	Dismal midweek

Wake up to cool wet weather and the mind does not want to get out of bed.Rain should taper off through the day,but doubtful we will see any sun.Slow improvement as we approach the weekend. Kind of like this pattern,rain during the week,dry on the weekend.
Redsox eked one out last night,but they are a boring team to watch. In fact I here doctors prescribing Redsox games for insomniacs.I'm not insomniac,but I have proof they can put you to sleep.
Patriots minicamp started this week,wish we could start football season early.
So people these days don't seem to be getting excitement out of life,so they find really stupid things to do.The popularity of the dumbass movies is proof of that.
1. Two guys climbed up a tv signal tower

Newton Police arrested two men wearing parachute backpacks and helmets after they allegedly tried to climb a Chestnut Street TV tower on Sunday.

Both men were charged with trespassing, disturbing the peace and wanton destruction of property.
How about a charge for excessive stupidity.

2.Kids jumping across the subway tracks from platform to platform????????????If you fall you land on the high voltage rail.

Hi NE, still "murkey" here in Sw CT. but should see some slow clearing later this afternoon. Heard on the news this morning that Henry Hill died of natural causes. Hill of course was the main person or character in Goodfellas, played by Ray Liotta. Surprised he was never "Hit" by the Mob for being a rat. He was 69 years old. So thoughts this morning about our long period of cool comfortable weather. By now we usually have seen at least few days of humid warm to hot weather,but nothing so far. So I'm thinking, we had a winter with very few cold days, and little snow,so can the summer be without very few hot humid days,and most days comfortable.So 2012 would be the year without winter or summer. Hi New ~ Yup, it's another fun-filled rainsoaked day outside, but better weather should return by tomorrow and throughout most of the remaining week. My only grumble is that t'storms are indicated next week to officially usher in summer, on Weds., and for the few days thereafter. Boy, the price we now seemingly have to pay to retrieve some of that summery heat around here! My only hope is that, whatever summer's outcome, it won't leave us as weather damaged. I certainly wouldn't mind cool temps as long as it doesn't effect my furnace. Like you, I also heard on local TV about those ridiculously "stupid" Mass. citizens who have nothing better to do than to tempt fate with their lives. Mind boggling to be sure! Here's another dumb story to add to your blog header: A DPW worker, working out of Quincy, MA, forgot to close its flood gates over the weekend and now many residents are dealing with flooded basements due to recent heavy rainfall. I wonder who's going to be paying for all the resulting damage now?? It's sad that there's nothing noteworthy to report about our local sports teams this season. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the outcome of last night's basketball playoffs between the Oklahoma Thunder and Miami Heat. Those young upstarts of Okie trounced the star veterans of the Heat! YEAH!!! Hockey Mom takes matters into her own hands. BOSTON - When she thought the referee team didn't act quickly enough to break up a youth hockey game brawl, one Boston-area mom took matters into her own hands The fight, which was captured on video and posted on YouTube, shows a fight break out during a Raptors and Tribe game at a rink in Wilmington. The unidentified woman, who was wearing a pink jacket and carrying her purse, marched onto the ice waving her finger and screaming at both the players and refs to break up the fight. The refs were quick to tell the woman to get off the ice, and the fight fizzled as soon as she got involved. We have created a group of administrators in our government positions that are unable to thing for themselves and have no compassion for others,only rules. This story really drives me up a wall and and makes me want to fire every official out there,don't mean to lump all officials into one lump,but you hear this kind of story alot. A Byfield girl was forced to miss her prom because she missed a day of school and it's her reason that is causing controversy. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought they were kidding at first," said 18-year-old Kaley Hughes. But it was no joke. Hughes was barred from her senior prom Tuesday night at Triton Regional High School. She was turned away at the door. She and her boyfriend, Chris, were all dressed up and ready for their dream night. But as they stood in line for the grand march, a teacher told Hughes she wasn't allowed to be there because she'd missed school that day. "We ended up coming out with all of the people who were coming out of the grand march, laughing and taking pictures, and I was just sitting there on a ledge watching them and crying," she said. It was her parents who decided to keep her home Tuesday after a death in the family. "My older brother Joe just passed away on Sunday from end-stage liver failure," said Richard Hughes. "Kaley stayed home because of the circumstances, my brother passing away and not being able to get out there and get ready for her big night." Kaley's mom, Jody, said "Because everything was so last minute, we had put the prom on the back burner, while we took care of everything for the funeral. And for them to be so cold about the whole thing." In a statement, the school superintendent said the family did not do what they would normally be expected to do: contact the school early in the day regarding Kaley's absence. Jody Hughes admits they forget to call, but said it's just been a tough couple of weeks. She tried to explain that to the principal, as her daughter stood weeping in her gown. "She was like-- I'm not changing my mind. It was such a big debacle-- so uncalled for, so cold."
