Garden~ IT'S TRASHY TOMATO TIME!!!

We got alot of fun & free food out of this contest last year. There is rumored plantings already going on in WunderGardens across the land. No worries about any later start contest isn't over til everyone gets a killing frost or sometime next February (which every comes 1st). All you do is fill either a planter container or a hole in the ground with compostable trash, plant in the middle a young tomato plant (note the date), share pictures of it with us on Weather Underground & water most days when it doesn't rain. Best, trashiest..the winners kind of name themselves..

When to plant what & how in Florida. (scroll down about 2/3rds)

North FL May is the month to start cantaloupes, eggplant, okra & sweet potatoes.

In Central FL May is the time to plant okra, southern peas & sweet potatoes.

South FL May, June & July are pretty much months of no planting. In places with some shade some heat loving okra & watermelon will probably produce.
