 Free Hit Counter  In Glacier National Park around 2009, the local utility erected a platform for osprey to nest on, in hopes of keeping them out of a nearby transformer. Glacier staff set up a webcam in order to watch the osprey in action, and were rewarded with chicks hatching, growing, and eventually taking flight! However, 2011 and 2012 were sad years for the osprey cam, as the chicks were lost during a storm in 2011, and one of the mates died as a result of flying into nearby power lines in 2012. 2013 has arrived, and a new osprey couple has arrived at the nest, and we hope they can produce a successful brood!
