After a long day of rain and brilliant clouds in the sunset. they mostly cleared out of the way to see the comet. But! had to put the son to sleep at 830 and it wasn't dark enough to see it yet. Thanks for posting this image CJ.

at more than - 107,000 feet, this weather station breakes all kinds of records in the continental US. No Wonder it is so warm there.

This morning you can clearly see what seems to be 5 dispersed cloud seeding plumes in the dry band areas of Isaac, spaced across the gulf. The plumes are all about the same size, happen at nearly the same time, and disperse rapidly. China is actively cloud seeding to alter their weather. If this ISN'T something by our navy, it should be looked at.Cloud development does seem retarded after the plumes dissipate, and the dry/less cloudy band where they disperse is help...

Fantastic sunny weather over the weekend for my son's birthday and baptism. Just afternoon rains that kept things cool and shady, and the relatives from driving home too soon when we wanted them to stay.Does anybody know of water reflectance data in popular mapping formats? I'm a member of the Ocean Color group but they don't have data in projected raster formats and you need to learn new software to convert it to anything usable/mappable.

OK, I really just wanted to use the word Syzygy since my son and I were looking at 3 objects but they were only in a triangle and not a line, August 5th 2012. Spika, Mars, and Saturn looked great last night! The bats swarmed out of the bat house as we waited for the stars to show up after sunset.The a stop off at the hot donuts now, Krispy shop made it a great 6 year old adventure. Then I got to see the first images from Curiosity on Mars. WOW.Thank goodness the 1s...
