 We had showers most of Monday morning but the rain ended by early afternoon and it wasn't too bad of a day. I did get some gardening done and a few more plants bought. Today is expected to be quite nice once the fog and clouds burn off, and temps should reach 80F. Then more heavy rain is in the forecast. There just seems to be no end to it this year although the mosquitoes are loving it. We can't walk outdoors without an air attack. But on the good side, everything is so lush and green. Right now (8:15 AM EDT), our temp is 65.7F, the humidity is 95% and skies are overcast. Winds are from the west at 3 mph and we received 0.31" of rain yesterday. Our overnight low was 63F after a high yesterday of 76F. It felt much warmer than that with the high humidity. The barometer is 29.87" and steady and the dew point is 62F. OUR FORECAST: Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. West wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. West wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Wednesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 59. East northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 75. North northeast wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. 
It's funny how suddenly there are leaves and flowers on the trees and bushes when just three days before, nothing. It's like Mother Nature wants to make up for lost time. After a beautiful, sunny morning, we now have steady rain and flood warnings/watches. Our ground is saturated from the storms of last week, and many areas to our north are still under water. They certainly don't need the rain that is expected into tomorrow night. The rain started about 5:30 PM and has continued since then. We had pea-sized hail at 6:00 PM which only lasted a few minutes. One could almost say that our weather is boring. But on the other hand, it's typical for February in Michigan. The past four days have brought temps hovering around freezing, skies have been mostly cloudy, winds have been moderate, and there has been intermittent snow flurries. Once again, most of our snow is gone with temps rising above normal. We should see the 40s today before the deep freeze returns Sunday night. On the down side, winds will be very strong with the approach of this latest frigid air mass. So it will not be a good day for outdoor activities.
