Well, finally have the chance to get a weather station online. I have looked for years, but have been hesitant to spend the money to get a system that would work here at the house and be able to connect to the PC.
Not being a big fan of wires running all over the place I was looking for something that was wireless, had a rain gauge and was small enough to be pretty unobtrusive. Seemed that those made the units more than I was willing to spend. Well, last week, I was walking through the West Seattle True Value up at the Junction and they had this unit on sale for $90. It seemed to have everything I wanted so I grabbed it and thought I would give it a try. So far, so good. Still need to get the anemometer up higher and level so it gets a better reading of the wind and stops swinging to the NE when there is no wind.
