06:40, 68F, clear. light breeze from the north. sun's coming up. yellow dogs at back door. roosters crowing. corn muffin for breakfast.
08:50 high tide coming in at CK. egrets in the spartina. low 80's. partly cloudy. 11:10, high slack tide at #4 bridge. slight breeze. 16:50, 89F at the farm. north breeze. mostly sunny. discovered a bulldog pup in the sheep pasture. female, 10 wks., maybe, skinny. no collar. sweet nature. couldn't leave her out there. put her in the finch aviary with food and water and a towel. tomorrow I will find someone to take her, I hope.. making chili. added field peas from the garden. thinking of mowing the back yard. 19:20, 81F, partly cloudy. mowed the back yard and some of the virginia creeper between the house and the workshop. got the pup to eat some. got 4 eggs, 1 of them broken.. there's one chicken who lays thin-shelled eggs. I need to bring back some shell hash for them. 21:30, 78F, a haze, a few clouds. breeze from NE. stars appear. the summer solstice is approaching.
