07:05, 72F, clear. waning full moon above the decrepit horse barn. dogs waiting to go out.
rooster up and vocal. 12:50, 91F, slight breeze from north. sunny/cloudy. did a wash. mowed back and side yards. smells good. dixie was poking around some old feed bags when I was getting chicken feed. I shook the bag and rattled it into the can and dixie shot into the air and 'bout trampled me getting away.. guess she's had some experience there. there was a 3 footer under the house last year. bruiser found it and I shot it but it was buzzing at all of us. glad she's wary. she's the hunter in the pack. got 2 eggs. 21:40, 78, misty. brighter stars showing. young dog went down to the front gate and barked at the neighbor for awhile. finally came back to the farm yard and barked to be let back in. it was dark out there.
