Snowfall warning for Queens County issued
Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres on Sunday.
This is a warning that significant snowfall is expected in these regions. Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements.
A low pressure system currently near Cape Hatteras will track east-northeastward today and Sunday to lie south of Nova Scotia by Sunday evening. Precipitation ahead of the low will begin Sunday morning as a mix of ice pellets and snow then is expected to change over predominantly to snow by Sunday afternoon. Snowfall amounts of between 15 to 25 centimetres is expected. Lesser amounts are expected over areas of the coast where northeasterly winds blow onshore as precipitation there will likely fall as a snow/rain mix.
