Beach Time

	We had big time sunshine!

Today was a great day to kick off tomorrow's Summer Solstice...we hit 69 degrees! Then of course the marine air rolled in; I could see it the whole time Maggie and I were at the beach...just hanging out there about a mile off the coast. My face feels sunburned and the back of my neck is definately feeling a bit tender....such a rare feeling. We hit the Marine View access (walkout) around 10:30am...really low tide and the beach was thick with shells and rocks, some nice agates of modest size, and a snail shell...a real treasure.

I left when people began coming out to beachcomb...around 12:30pm.

Thank you for your post on Joe's blog. Thought I'd contact you this way for now with Joe's place being so busy all the time. You and Rotty are the only one's who respond altho I've not been active on his blog like some, I read along when I can. I too lived in Red Bluff, Ca. when I was young; up until I was 15, then moved to Colusa, Ca. to live with my father. It's indeed a small world! I live in Scio, Or. now on a small 3.5 acre place with my husband, 4 Mini Schnauzers, outdoor kitties, chickens and whatever wildlife that happens to stroll thru. We have coyotes, fox, deer, turkeys, nutrea's, oppossum, skunks, racoons, squirrels, etc. Haven't seen pumas nor bear in this area, but they aren't uncommon up in the foothills/mountains.
