Having spent 32 months underway, we are now in the Chesapeake Bay, actually Solomons, MD. We have sailed the Gulf, the Keys, the Abaco Islands, the Atlantic Coast to Maryland. We will winter there and head north in the spring.

Ok, so we have been sailing for over 25 years, mostly on the Gulf Coast of Texas. Now that my mate has retired after 31 years in the classroom, we can see some extended cruising in our near future. Of course,that will not be until after hurricane season this year. Our sloop is tugging at the dock lines and so is our soul. Ever wonder what happens to all the plywood that is sold before a hurricane. Seems that if it does not hit the area, then there should be some stored somewhere. Yet every time a hurricane heads somewhere, there is a rush on plywood. Inquiring minds want to know. Shouldn't by now there be enough to go around in everyone's back yard?
