Hi Foxx, was thinking earlier how much fun we were having this time last week. We were at Harry T's with all our WU friends having lunch and drinks.
What fun...

And I got to meet your hubby and your two cutie little pups!!! Tell Shadow and Naddi I said HI!!!

I will post pictures when I get it pulled together... I like to have a lot of the decorative treatments done because it will not look right until it is finished. Will let you know.

We are swamped with people down here this weekend, plus that big "Urban Music Festival" that is held in Miami South Beach this weekend every year.
There is always big time trouble when this group is in town and people end up dead. Police from all other cities have to come in help out the Miami-Dade County police force this weekend.
It is a shame that what should be a fun filled music weekend for many has to always end with violence because of a few "urban getto thugs" that come into town to start trouble.
I think this is the 3rd or 4th one and the South Beach/Miami officials are saying if there is trouble this year they will never allow it to come back.
sure the revenue is good to have but not the violence.

Well, I guess I said my peace on that one!

I went out during lunch to run some errands and pick up some items I need in my new kitchen...
and the Sawgrass Mills Mall is packed. YOu have to park way way way back in the parking lots and the stores are packed...
All pretty much foreign tourist..
and people are spending money like there is plenty to spend...
there is no signs of economy problems this weekend in SE Fla! :o)



Ylee, Yeah!!!! It is not only Saturday is now 3:07 pm on Saturday!!! 4 more hours to go!!!
and I have already done all of the real time consuming reports and numbers for the week
and I already keyed payroll for my team and my peer's team since he has been out for 2 weeks.

Poor Pierre, we have 4 Leaders on this shift and Saturday we all must key our payrolls..
Last Saturday Pierre was the only leader here and had to do it for all of us! LOL
This week at least I am back to Help him out.. The other two leaders are still out!

Oh, our microwave story...was 5 days of lies and terrible customer service..
Do NOT do business with hhgregg Applicances.
It is fairly new I think I started seeing commercials a year or so ago... They seemed to go into the buildings where Circuit City was located until they went out of business.

Anyway, No customers seem to be in the hhgregg stores..4 times in 6 days I was in there and about 15 salesmen standing around but no customers to wait on... I should have picked up on that but we didn't. and they lied to us to get the order.Hubby and I found a microwave we wanted... we wanted it that day, not a "order" the salesman Promised us it would be in by noon the next day (Tuesday).. promise.... to get the sale.
the next day the service person told us it would not be in until Friday....

I picked it up (we had told them we didnot want a floor model, we wanted brand new and we paid for brand new) ...
when we got it home it was a "return" the label said it was "returned because it did not heat" !!!

Hubby was livid. I returned it the next day for a full refund and pretty much told them they would never get our business again.

and we have been so busy we have not yet selected a new one. We have a perfectly good old white one I bought at Walmart for $65 about 14 yrs ago! LOL
but we want a new stainless steel one for our new kitchen so it will match rest of applicances...
and hubby is a lot pickier than I am about this microwave.. I have already seen several I could be ok with! LOL



anyway, my recommendation is to NOT shop at "hhgregg applicances" ... or if you do be very careful!

So I need to get back out on the production floor, everyone is back from lunch now and got to make sure
everything is running smoothly.

Hi everyone, will be back later, very busy yesterday and jeff we had to drive to Miami International Airport around 5-5:30 yesterday and got in a severe storm that was crazy. we had high winds, zero visibility, hard rain and some hail. I thought we were going to get blown off the road...

Still washing all my kitchen stuff that has been in boxes wrapped in newspaper for 2 months.. keeping that washer going all day long...

Hi everyone... I'm back after a very busy day...


we went to Sears and order a new stainless microwave oven that should be delivered next week.


the electrician put in the under the counter lighting..and they look so good....
I could not believe that tiny strip of lights made so much light and it should last for 15 yrs!

and did about 4 loads in dishwasher and did a little decorating...

I put a sneak glips on FB via my cell phone.. so easy..
so hard to do here but maybe I will try..

still a long way from total reveil...

Jeff, I hear you that was a nasty storm yesterday afternoon.. at least today was just a rain storm for a few minutes.


Ogal, I saw on FB that you and Steve are so sore from pulling in all that fish yesterday.. hope today you are taking it easy.. at our age our bones and muscles get sore really easy.. so glad you are having a wonderful time.


Karen, I put two cell phone pictures on FB..but I have already changed it up since I put that picture up..

But it is coming along.. all our neighbors that come in to see how it is going are telling us how much they love it...
but then again..would they tell us they don't love it?? LOL

I know I love it and Hubby loves it and we are happy with how it is coming along..

so hopefully some premiliary pictures soon.

HI BriarCraft, good to see you stop by.... Yes, we had a time with that microwave.... but today we ordered one from SEARS which will meet our expections... we should have gone there like we normally do.. we got our new dishwasher from there and they have great customer service..
as far as our SE USA beaches... down here we have a lot of resorts, condos and hotels on our beaches...

and most of them are private...except for state parks or public access.....so we were in a condo and that condo had access to the beach front (only to the ocean) in front..so they keep those lounge chairs set up and the umbrellas' get set up as those loughe chairs are taken... yes it cost money to get one of those...unless you are an owner and Beachfoxx is ...

and even here in Ft Lauderdale.. our beach front HOtels and Resorts have there own beautiful layouts of where the lounges should be on the beach...

I think the west coast is very different from east coast...Come on down here to SE Florida and I will show you around!!!

Hi Sandi, Yes I have Nolan today, first time I have had him this long in a while. It just was not safe for him to be here during the worse of the construction.

I mean I cut a gash in my shin last week running into something!


But tomorrow I get to do a little resting.. been running errands this morning.



Good morning everyone, The Moisture Map does not reflect it yet but I have a feeling a lot of those Red counties will turn dark green or blue at this afternoon's update. Some areas got 10" of rain from Beryl and they needed it.


Also, Ellen called me this morning and told me to get to Rylee's school if I could because there was the yearly award ceremony going on this morning. She forgot to tell me about it last weekend.

Anyway, I got dressed and went (her school is not even 1/2 mile from my house) and Rylee won a lot of good awards.....and even one of 3 "Gold Metal Students"

but she also won the biggest prize of all.. The First Grade Student of the Year!

We were so proud of our Ms Rylee... He teacher said all the teachers that voted on this award were in a agreement that Rylee is the best All Round Student with a postive attitude and a smile on her face every day... she said Rylee never talks negative about any one and always nurturing and helpful.. and Rylee is a Delight for any teacher to have in the class room!!

Code has been here a few times since I posted those pictures and she has not yet told me to remove her pictures! LOL Plus she exposed herself a few years ago on Dr Master's blog with that Portlight Charity event.

You know when that teacher was talking about Rylee I did recognize all she said, Rylee is a sweet little girl..
very nurturing...
I have no idea where she got all that! Sure not from any one of us.

Her other "Nanny" was there and we just hugged each other and told each other we did a good job in helping raise Rylee! LOL

Sandi, as a teacher I am sure you remember those students who could be Student of the year.. they may not always be the most "straight A " students but they are cheerful and have a positive attitude and always happy to be there and be helpful... She was selected by the teachers... We are so proud of her.. Both of her Grandmas were there, "Gamma & Nanny".. and her Mama and Daddy... Both Grandpas were at work and could not take off... us "Grandmas" take off anytime we need to for our grands!

Rob, I did indeed tell her all Gamma's friends were so proud of her... She know all about WUBA, she grew up on my blog for the past 7 yrs!


I have some workers in the kitchen now trying to figure out the problem with our slide in stove and getting it worked into the countertop.. long story...
we don't want to buy a new range when the one we have is not even 2 yrs old yet... but the one we have is not making the "countertop" transition like it should have... hard to explain but we have some good people working on the problem..

(our VP's New Boss from NY came in for a visit and to check things out. The one who will decided how fast we are put out of jobs!)
So everything was orderely and as clean as we can get it.
