Partly sunny with a chance of showers in the morning... then showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. Southwest winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.
A cold front passed through the region last night. This front produced little or no rainfall. In its wake... dry breezy conditions can be expected... with wind speeds of 10 to 20 mph... wind gusts of 25 mph... and humidity minimums of 25 to 30 percent. These weather conditions... in combination with drying Forest fuels... will make for an increasing fire threat this afternoon.
Residents are urged to exercise caution handling any potential ignition source. Be sure to properly discard all smoking materials. Any dry grasses and tree litter that ignite will have the potential to spread quickly. Accidental escaped debris Burns are the number one cause of wildfires.
