... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect until noon PST Thursday...
An air stagnation advisory remains in effect until noon PST Thursday.
* Synopsis: a very strong temperature inversion will persist this morning through Thursday morning. This will trap pollutants and lead to air quality problems. A frontal system is expected to mix out the inversion and clear the air Thursday afternoon.
* Locations include: all southern Oregon valleys inland from the coast including the cities of Grants Pass... Cave Junction... Medford... Ashland... Klamath Falls... and Lakeview.
* Impacts: increasing pollution will cause air quality to deteriorate. These conditions may make breathing more difficult for those with health conditions. People sensitive to air quality may wish to remain indoors.
* For a detailed view of the hazard area... visit http://www.Wrh.NOAA.Gov/wrh/whv/?Wfo=mfr
An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement of an air mass across the advisory area... pollution will increase.
