* at 1121 PM EDT... the public reported flash flooding near SW 87 Ave and SW 34 Avenue. Yards are flooded and water approaching houses at this time.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Coral Gables... Kendall... Miami... South Miami... Coconut Grove... intersection krome and Kendall drive... kendale lakes... marlins park... Miami international a/p... Pinecrest... Sweetwater... The Hammocks... University of Miami... West Kendall... Westchester and zoo Miami.

Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible from the nearly stationary storms during the next couple hours.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warning area move to higher ground immediately. * at 1017 PM EDT... Doppler radar is showing that the line of showers and thunderstorms are now building southwest from northeast Miami-Dade County into central Miami-Dade County. At the NWS office... we have received around 1 inch in the last 15 minutes. These storms will not move much during the next couple of hours which will be able to produce another 2 to 3 inches of rainfall. If these rainfall rates increase more than forecast... then a Flash Flood Warning maybe needed for this area.

* at 942 PM EDT... Doppler radar is indicating that showers and thunderstorms are developing over the northeast Miami-Dade and southeast Broward counties this evening. Rainfall amounts have already shown that 1 to 2 inches of rainfall has fallen during the last half an hour over this area. These storms will not move much during the next couple of hours which will allow the storms to produce another 1 to 3 inches of rainfall. If the rainfall rates increase more than forecast... then a Flash Flood Warning maybe needed for this area.

Rainfall at the Palm Beach International Airport so far today has been 3.30 inches... this shatters the recent 24 hour rainfall records for may 20th of 1.33 inches which occurred in 1969. Remember there is still a posibility of additional rain to fall prior to midnight and this record may be adjusted.
