An interesting and not necessarily invalid take on the fire, horacenick. However, this took place in juniper country, not a logging area. The fact is we haven't had a lot of wet weather recently and forest fires do happen. It's actually good for the environment, even if we humans don't appreciate losing our homes/businesses. I can't find that this particular fire has damaged anything manmade as yet, though news coverage is light, at best.
great series of shots superj, agree W/your reply to horacenick. that fuel type does have frequent return intervals. In absence of natural fire that historically burnt many acrers W/O suppression, logging & and other fuel RX's should be aimed at mimicking what fire did histroically.
