The stop at Cliff Island is the furthest point on the mail boat run. With a year round population of 45, and a total of 3 students in the K-5 one room schoolhouse, the teens have had to find their own fun. It has become tradition for them to jump off the dock into the churning waters of the wake from the ferry as it leaves the dock after its brief stop to deliver mail.
What fun, Wilma! This photo almost looks like something from a few decades ago... and the islands do operate in a much simpler and slower pace than the mainland...
