The Eleanor

This boat, built and captained by Rich Woodman, is modeled after a 1935 design. Although the sails were hoisted outside in the open ocean, the schooner motors into port, especially at low tide, with so many boats anchored in the Kennebunk River. The red building on Government Wharf is the bait shed for the many lobstermen, with their boats at rest in the river.
